We acknowledge the role of small actors in our food system. The local produce at our shops is sourced from smallholder farmers wherever possible. The generous variety of products at our shops is made possible by farmers with whom we have an active relationship. Additionally, small Zurich manufactories provide us with goods like handcrafted bread, chocolate and yogurt prepared from grass and hay milk.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We vow to bring produce as fresh as possible to our customers and indeed a lot of effort goes into this every day. Vegetables are usually harvested only when the farmer has received the order from our shop team. Several times a week our logistics team brings the agricultural produce from our two country shops to Zurich. A supply chain without middlemen ensures fair prices and minimal storage helps in preserving the freshness and nutrition of the produce.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We embrace the beauty of seasonality and allow our customers to connect with food rather than just consuming it. Wasting food is not an option for us – we utilize everything. In our KOSTBAR shelves you will find products that are close to their expiration date at discounted prices so that customers preferably buy and utilize these products. Any leftovers are dispatched to local networks of recyclers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Time is the new luxury. Regenerative agriculture and high-quality food processing are time consuming and labor intensive. We take our time with every batch of produce as we prefer quality over quantity. We encourage our customer to invest time also when they pay us a visit. Each of the five BachserM\u00e4rt shops is unique and we take pride in the fact that our customers come from all parts of society. Our products reflect the diversity of our customers.
